I WAS Homeless…But God–Finding Inspiration During Difficult Seasons of Life

I was moved to tears on this morning as I watched this story of a young pregnant mother who found herself sleeping on a sidewalk with her toddler.  The story caused a spirit of gratitude to overtake me because I can remember the time in my life when I was both pregnant and homeless.

I could empathize with this mother and her children because I vividly remember the guilt and shame that I felt knowing that I could not provide for those who I loved the most.

All I can say is that God is amazing, and He is a provider.  Those nights sleeping on the floor of different churches brought me to this place of overwhelming blessings on today.  I am able to inspire, empower and encourage other women because of what I experienced during that very difficult time in my life.

I want to encourage you on today if you are facing a difficult time in your life that it won’t last always!  God is faithful, and He will bring you through this trying time.  Take this season as an opportunity to reflect on where God is taking you through this experience.

God would not allow you to go through without great purpose in mind.  He is intentional in all things and regardless of how things came about in your life, He is going to cause everything to work out for your good.

Love & Blessings,

I , too, was pregnant and homeless. Just a year ago, with my then 11 year old. It was truly mentally challenging! Now, I am working and have my own place again! I am very greatful for the experience because it allowed me to expand in ways I can’t explain. I also, desire to help other women in similar situations. Thank you for sharing
